Bottleneck Bridge Ride – Sunday, Aug. 17, 2025 – Festus, MO – We provide communications support for this county-wide bike ride.
Twin City Days – Sat. Sept. 6, 2025 – Festus, MO – We host a radio-related informational booth at this huge event hosted by the Twin City Chamber of Commerce. Volunteer to help? Our two shifts are 7:30am-11am and 11am-2:30pm. Tell us in the Contact Form below.
Annual Christmas Party – Saturday Dec. 5, 2025, 1 pm- Wesley Rogers Steak and Buffet, Arnold, MO. MAP This celebration is held in lieu of our December meeting.
We had a successful launch on TUESDAY MAY 6 AT 11AM, LANCER STADIUM. However, the balloon after rising to 26,000 feet, it returned to sometime after sunset earth near Dawson Springs, KY. Local area hams attempted to retrieve it. A second balloon was launched on Friday May 9th. Similar results, tracked successfully to 23,000 finally resting about 14 hours later. Check back here later for video and DRONE footage of the May 6 launch!

Our UHF Repeater – The UHF repeater, FM – 442.425 MHz +5MHz 141.3 tone is now in service, using a temporary antenna at reduced elevation. It should operate South of the repeater site (4 miles North of Hillsboro) quite well. We’re working to get the permanent antenna and to have it installed on the county’s tower as the weather will permit.
